Kodiak Steel Siding

Steel siding with clapboard profile and raised, wood-grain finish

High-Quality Siding
Kodiak Steel Homes® kits are available with a variety of steel siding packages. Manufactured by Quality Edge, our steel siding has a horizontal-lap (clapboard) profile with a handsome wood-grain relief. Unlike the builder-grade vinyl siding that is so common today, this high-quality product won't rattle in the wind or sag over time. Available in a variety of popular colors, it is finished with a fused PVC outer coating over a bake-bonded primer. Quality Edge guarantees that this steel siding will not blister, peel, chip, flake, or rust with a Quality Edge manufacturer's warranty that includes supplemental hail coverage, ensuring that your walls will stay beautiful for decades.

Ready to Install
Our siding packages come complete with fasteners, starter strips, and all necessary trim. The steel siding can be attached to an exterior wall sheathing like plywood, OSB board, or GeorgiaPacific's fireproof Densglass (recommended), but you do not have to use sheathing at all on a Kodiak Steel Homes kit. Wood-framed homes must have sheathing to prevent the walls from "racking" under a shearing force. The Kodiak Steel Homes framing system is engineered to provide sufficient shear strength to the walls without sheathing, so you can attach your siding (or brick ties, etc.) directly to the frame and save the expense of sheathing while meeting your building code requirements.
